The werewolf diet is a controversial topic. The diet consists of synchronizing your fasting routine with the lunar cycle which is where it gets it’s name. The werewolf diet also goes by “the moon diet” or in some cases “the lunar diet”. This diet has been practiced by many including celebrities in the past like Madonna.
The Werewolf Diet
The werewolf diet consists of 2 different versions. The short version as well as the extended version.
The Short Version
The short version of the werewolf diet typically lasts about 24 hours. When practicing the short version of this diet, what you would do is consume nothing but water during a full moon or a new moon. Similar to the grapefruit diet, you could also squeeze fruit or vegetable juice.
The Extended Version
Full moon
When following the extended version of the werewolf diet, you basically start off with the short version during the full moon. After the 24 hour period, you would then follow diet plans according to the phases of the moon.
Waning moon
The second phase consists of the waning moon. This is when you drink 8 glasses of water each day and you also eat solid foods.
New moon
The next phase is during the new moon. The new moon phase of the werewolf diet is the same as the beginning or the short version. You consume nothing but liquids for 24 hours.
Waxing moon
The last phase is the waxing moon. During this phase you can eat again but it is strongly advised to avoid eating sweets and you can only drink fluids between 3pm and 5pm. Eating after 6pm is prohibited.
The general idea behind this diet is that you hack the system a little bit. What you do is stick to a diet and fluid routine that works with the lunar cycle. As science has proven, the moon’s gravity has certain affects on the water here on earth and during the werewolf diet you use the lunar cycle to your advantage. Going through this diet correctly will cause the moon to interact with the water in your system which should give you noticeable results in your weight.

Your skin is especially vulnerable in winter. In addition to a rosy glow in the cheeks, winter also brings uncomfortable dryness to the skin. For some people, the problem can get worse than a sheer discomfort with dryness leading to irritation, cracking, bleeding or inflammation. The cold outside plus the heat inside can be unforgiving to your skin, a vicious cycle that you can do something to prevent! Read through these winter skin care tips.
8 Winter Skin Care Tips
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize more!
Remember the moisturizer you used in spring and summer? It’s time for a change. Your choice of moisturizer can either protect your skin from dryness or lead to excessive dryness. An oil based moisturizer is best for protecting your skin against the harsh winter weather while a water-based moisturizer is not good for your skin during winter.
Moisturize at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
Wash in lukewarm water
While standing in a hot shower on a cold day feels so amazing, it doesn’t do much justice to your skin. This is because hot water drys out your skin. Use lukewarm water instead of hot water to avoid stripping essential oils away from your skin.
Drink lots of water
Keep your body hydrated in winter as much as you do in summer. Water maintains a fluid balance in your body which contributes to your overall health. Water keeps your skin hydrated.
Wear protective gear
Protective gear includes scarves, gloves, and sunscreen. Oh yes, sunscreen isn’t just for summer. It protects your skin from winter sun which can be very damaging to the skin.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation frees your skin off dead skin cells especially on your face and hands mainly caused by dryness. Your moisturizer won’t work if there are plentiful dead cells on your skin. You can use exfoliating body scrubs or a mask readily available in a store close to you.
Install a humidifier
Heating systems quickly drys out the air in your home during the cold months. A humidifier, on the other hand, adds more moisture in the air preventing your skin from drying out and making it easier for you to breath better. You can use an extra large humidifier throughout your entire home or a smaller one for individual spaces.
Change Your Cleanser
In the cold months, switch your cleanser with one that contains moisturizing ingredients. Avoid cleaners that contain glycolic or salicylic acid as they can be extremely drying to the skin. After using a cleanser, apply a hydrating toner followed by a moisturizer to seal in moisture.
Eat healthy
Eat foods that contain more nutrients and antioxidants to retain a glow in your skin. These foods include almonds, broccoli, avocado, olive oil, dark chocolate, green tree among others.
When you feel the cold coming in just remember or save these winter skin care tips. The cold won’t stand a chance!

Back To School Health Tips | HB News Network
https://hbnewsnetwork.wordpress.com/2016/07/06/back-to-school-health-tips/
http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
The beginning of every school season normally starts with a lot of responsibilities. Parents work hard to ensure their kids go back to school happy and healthy. The moment can be a problematic for both parents and students. However, proper planning can help in easing the pressure to both parties. For instance, parents may come up with a suitable to-do list for: health checkups, planning healthy lunches, fixing sleeping routine or preparing for a major change like an entire school. Here are some back to school health tips parents should follow:
4 Back To School Health Tips
Being Aware of Allergens
The ending of summer marks the starting of allergy season due to dust, ragweed or mold. These will usually be found within school buildings. When children come into contact with allergens, they may suffer from a runny nose, coughing and sneezing. Allergens can cause sinus infections or asthma attacks. Preparing for food allergies should also be done in advance.
Emphasizing on Washing Hands
Washing of hands throughout the day is a vital way of ensuring that kids do not spread germs. The process should involve proper washing of the front and back parts of hands and the middle of the tips and fingers. Soap is needed to eliminate illnesses and germs but in case that is not accessible, hand sanitizer can be a great alternative.
Reinstating their Routine
No school, less responsibilities and lots of free time can lead to kids getting used to freedom. As parents prepare back to school activities, they need to emphasize on strict bedtime for the little ones. It is also recommended to get the kids to quit playing video games and watching loud TV shows. Instead, get them into quiet board games and reading books before going to bed. Having enough rest of at least eight hours has a direct association with your child’s performance at school.
Focusing on Good Nutrition
Healthy meals are essential for being alert and awake. It’s also a good way to get them used to eating healthy. Growing up with unhealthy habits will vastly decrease the chances being healthy in the future.

Removing Tree Sap – 3 Steps | HB News Network
Removing Tree Sap – 3 Steps | HB News Network
https://hbnewsnetwork.wordpress.com/2016/07/06/removing-tree-sap-3-steps/
http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
There is absolutely nothing more devastating than ruining your most favorite shirt or sweater with tree sap. It’s not done intentionally. It gets too hot so you take off your shirt or sweater and place in a safe and clean place. You then realize later that it is now ruined. A lot of people try to clean it off with some water and soap only to realize that removing tree sap may not be possible. Unfortunately, they end up throwing their clothes away.
There is a way of removing tree sap that is safe, easy and affordable. All you need to do is follow these 3 steps to get your clothes looking as good as new!
3 Steps For Removing Tree Sap
Step 1:
The first step is to identify where on the clothes have tree sap on them. There may be 1 big spot but you can almost be certain that there are little spots that you may not notice.
Step 2:
The next thing you would need to do is find some rubbing alcohol or grain alcohol. This is the most important part when removing tree sap. Use generous amounts and apply the alcohol on the effected areas. Once you have applied the alcohol, you then rub the clothes against itself. You will need to rub until the tree sap has been removed completely. Don’t forget to treat the little spots!
Step 3:
After you have successfully removed the tree sap from your clothes with alcohol, you will want to throw the clothes into your washing machine. This will remove the alcohol and any residue left from the tree sap and will make your clothes just like new.
Alcohol is a versatile cleaning tool that happens to be very effective for removing tree sap from clothes and other surfaces. So don’t throw away your clothes just yet!

Cover FX Enhancer Drops Review | HB News Network

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
Hey guys!
Cover FX has released their new Cover FX Enhancer Drops and today I will be reviewing it with you. Normally I like to use the products several times before I post any kind of demonstration or review. However, today I decided that I will be doing my first test run with you! I was very excited about this new release. I’ve also heard a lot of great feedback from those who have been able to test this product before it was released. So I do have a great feeling about Cover FX Enhancer Drops!
My Cover FX Enhancer Drops Review
One thing I did not like during my Cover FX Enhancer Drops Review was their packaging. Their previous product comes with a dropper and I was really hoping that they would redesign that feature. Their whole dropper design tends to get really messy and unfortunately the new release comes with the same design.
So Cover FX Enhancer Drops will be costing you $42 and they give you the option of a total of 6 different shades. I purchased 3 different ones. You can watch my review here:
This is an amazing product guys. You can use such little amounts of it and it will last you forever! This formula has really been able to impress me. Cover FX has proven once again that they create quality products. I would definitely recommend this as I am very pleased with my purchase.

Old Fashioned Skin Care Tricks | HB News Network
https://hbnewsnetwork.wordpress.com/2016/07/02/old-fashioned-skin-care-tricks/
http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
Hollywood stars and starlets have been known to have “secret” beauty and skin care tips that sound unreal or just outright ridiculous. Especially with modern trends, there aren’t much “secrets” anymore. Just gossip and rumors about Botox and surgeries in which most cases, it’s probably true. Old fashioned skin care tricks seem to have either been lost in history or practiced within select house holds who care about their skin and do their research.
We have been able to uncover some of history’s best skin care and beauty tricks that aren’t ridiculous or dangerous. If practiced correctly, you could have an edge in your skin care routine that almost nobody else knows about.
4 Old Fashioned Skin Care Tricks
Miss Jessica Harlow is an experienced beauty and makeup artist and she shares each of these tips in detail in one of her videos:
Shaving The Face
Celebrities in the past like Marilyn Monroe used to shave their facial hairs with a special razor. The trick is to remove all of the “peach fuzz” to give the skin a more smooth look and feel. This allows for better reflection which gives the skin a more smooth and firm look. By the way, everyone has “peach fuzz” on their face. Shaving off the “peach fuzz” also gives a better surface for applying foundation.
“Ice Facial”
The “ice facial” isn’t as bad as it may sound. The trick with this is to apply cold water to your face/skin after you are finished washing and exfoliating. Joan Crawford used this trick in a very specific 25 facials. Cold water causes the pores in our skin to close up making the skin tighter and firmer. This also helps with acne because closed pores don’t allow for dirt to get in.
Removing The Hairline
Rita Hayworth was an actress who removed her hairline to make her face look more proportional. Another reason for removing the hairline is that it cleans up the little baby strands of hairs. This gives the face a bit more of a polished and cleaned up look
Surgical Tape
There were several actresses back in the day who used to use surgical tape to tighten their face. After tightening their face with surgical tape they would use a wig to hide the tape, giving them a tighter and firmer look without the evidence.
There is a similar trick that Miss Jessica Harlow reveals that she uses personally instead of surgical tape at the end of her video. Check it out:
Implementing these old fashioned skin care tricks gives you a great edge for modern beauty standards and trends. For more skin care tips you can read our other post: 4 Skin Care Tips For Beautiful Skin

Why Exercise Doesn’t Work | HB News Network
Why Exercise Doesn’t Work | HB News Network
https://hbnewsnetwork.wordpress.com/2016/07/02/why-exercise-doesnt-work/
http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
Typically after new years, you decide to lose weight so you buy a gym membership. Afterwards you set a schedule and you force yourself to go to the gym 3 times per week. Sounds pretty normal right? The most common misconception is that the most effective way to lose weight is to stick to a rigorous exercise routine. Usually sticking to it until you reach the results you need. The truth is, exercise doesn’t work. Exercise has been proven to give almost no effect to weight loss. In some cases, it could cause you to gain more weight. Here’s why:
Why Exercise Doesn’t Work
Our bodies have a very specific system that they stick to. The body uses specific amounts of energy for each function. Food is responsible for 100% of the energy that our bodies consume and exercise only uses about 10% to 30% of that energy. That’s right! Exercise is only responsible for 10% to 30% of our weight loss. Food is stored as energy which is then used to power our bodily functions and anything left afterwards is stored as fat.
Our bodies use about 60% to 80% of that energy to power the background functions. The background functions are basically the things that go on that keep us alive like breathing and digestion.
Want Proof?
Here is what Vox has to say on their site:
If a hypothetical 200-pound man added 60 minutes of medium intensity running four days per week while keeping his calorie intake the same, and he did this for 30 days, he’d lose five pounds. “If this person decided to increase food intake or relax more to recover from the added exercise, then even less weight would be lost,” Hall added. (More on these “compensatory mechanisms” later.)
So if one is overweight or obese, and presumably trying to lose dozens of pounds, it would take an incredible amount of time, will, and effort to make a real impact through exercise.
Read their article here: vox.com
The best way to actually lose weight is to not overeat. Now, we are not suggesting that exercise is not important. Exercise is a vital part of being healthy and is highly recommended to do. Just don’t expect that to burn off your fat!

How To Prevent Cellulite | HB News Network
How To Prevent Cellulite | HB News Network
https://hbnewsnetwork.wordpress.com/2016/07/02/how-to-prevent-cellulite/
http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
Cellulite, cottage cheese thighs, hail damage. It’s not only an unpleasant topic but it’s also an unpleasant site. But what is cellulite? How can you prevent cellulite? Although the name is different, cellulite is just a different term for fat. To be more specific, cellulite pieces of fat that are right below the skin. It usually occurs in the thighs, butt and legs and in some cases even in the back of the arms. There are some steps that you can take to reduce and prevent cellulite.
How To Reduce and Prevent Cellulite
The first step to reducing cellulite is evaluating your life and what factors may be causing it. Cellulite can be cause by many factors such as:
Poor diet and poor lifestyle choices play a big role in the formation of cellulite due to greasy foods, junk food, heavy sugar intake. Sugar is one of the biggest factors in obesity and since cellulite is fat there is no doubt that sugar is contributing to cellulite. Consuming the correct foods and making the necessary lifestyle changes can give you noticeable results.
Fruits
Fruits are a natural resource that you can use to fight off and prevent cellulite. Fresh fruits contain alkaline which is the key to preventing cellulite. Alkalinity acts as a magnet to the toxins and the fats that are right below the skin therefore reducing the cellulite.
Vegetables
Vegetables contain the same resource as fruits. However, it is recommended that you eat more vegetables than fruits because fruits tend to have high amounts of sugar if eaten in large amounts. Detoxifying your body to prevent cellulite should absolutely have a mixture of fruits as well as vegetables. Just focus more on vegetables to keep your sugar intake at a healthy level to make this treatment more effective.
Water
Water is one of our bodies most needed elements as water hydrates our skin, fuels our metabolism and removes toxins through urination and sweat. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated helps to remove toxins that the alkaline from fruits and vegetables has extracted. If you don’t stay hydrated then the toxins and fats will just recirculate back to where they were.
Sweating
As the alkaline from fruits and vegetables extracts the fat and toxins from underneath the skin, water is used to remove those toxins to then expel. Causing your body to sweats increases the end process to expel the toxins. Sweating also increases your heart rate which increases the amount of calories you burn.
Taking good care of your skin is also an important factor for treating cellulite. Read some of our skin care tips here: 4 Skin Care Tips For Beautiful Skin to help you with your cellulite battle.
